    They paid around 30million for the small pie shaped lot next to the cemetery and GO station, which has existing foundations and P levels from previous owner..so not surprised to see they have issues with $. Overextended/too ambitious

    To me it seems like it must have been hooked onto the crane swinging outside of the building when it fell. If it rolled off the building i think it would hit the green netting a few floors below and taken that out too.

    Yes those are heating cables, they will be covered with pinned insulation against the concrete. The soffit will be a cold space, cables turn on via thermostat. Not necessarily a "heated floor" above, but there to make sure you dont feel the cold during winter. Here the concrete is what 5-6 feet...

    There are 6 elevators for the taller building (3 low rise only up to mid point, 3 high rise up to 66 - with priority dispatch software), 4 elevators in shorter building, plus 2 per tower serving up to 7th floor for podium suites. Total 14 elevators for residents. Under 100 suites per cab.

    Only thing is this building will have 6 underground levels. The have to dig down another 15m with probably a total of 3 tieback levels. Cant see the footings starting until dec/jan. Topping off will probably be around feb/mar 2015.
