After all this nonsense and the fact that most of the people in this city don't want Rob Ford anywhere near City Hall, how can people not see the need for some kind of ranked voting system?

For me, the sad thing is that TPS actually comes out better than I was expecting — I kind of just assumed Blair would be doing his part to cover for the mayor. He's a lot more honest than I expected.

My biggest concern in all this is that the number of candidates in the next mayoral race will split the vote so much that Rob will get back in because of the Ford Nationals who just admit that he isn't the guy they want him to be. I really hope there's a single candidate that all the anti-Ford...

The sad thing about all of this — especially the continued support RoFo's receiving — is that I'm finding it difficult to escape the conclusion that Toronto is a city in decline. Not irreversibly, but I think this city is going to get worse before it gets better.
