Oh cool, looks like they are ahead of schedule! Saw more employees training today, so that makes sense. Maybe they will have a soft opening?

Yup, most of the equipment seems to be installed but I think they are still working on small things. I did take a few pics that day, but they aren't great because of the time of day I went. If you look closely though they have the TV screens running already, and have added seating.

Interesting, the other day I saw a whole group of Cineplex employees going into the building for training so it looks like it definitely will be opening soon! 😁

I agree, it's sad that they decided to drop the patio and the second floor in-general. Seems like the project was scaled back, if I had to guess due to COVID and costs maybe. Would have been a neat concept. The Winnipeg location also doesn't have the patio/outdoor movie showings. My guess is...

Yeah looks like they scaled back the project quite a bit and did some reconfigurations. The Patio/Upper level also seem to be non-existent based on the current construction when comparing to the initial plans.

Nice, the skeleton of the globe looks complete! I wonder if they are going to put stucco on the walls outside the mall as the old brick will look out of place with the modern globe and the new main glass entrance they are making...

Yes Target opens August 1st, however the store is still 2 stories. The only thing they did, was a complete renovation of all the exterior and interiors of the former Zellers store.
