    Just curious... what is the source of your 'sickness' - the aesthetics of the building, the engineering design or something else??

    I think the University Ave glass that has been installed is going to be completely covered by the new 2-story glass podium that will be built onto the front. The artist's pictures show that the remainder of the University Ave face will look the same as the Dundas side.

    Right. No major difference I guess. Just that it seems like there's so much more 'tinkering' needed around the existing structure because of this whole exoskeleton design. But you're right - trying to achieve 'zero risk' (in any kind of project) would most certainly result in crazy delays...

    How does the lower curtain wall go up with zero risk that the glass will get damaged from falling chips, concrete and general debris, etc... considering that the majority of the old cladding still needs to be removed, new exoskeleton needs to be installed/welded and concrete needs to be poured...

    Would anyone know how far underground the steel columns go? I think I read somewhere that they dug out extra underground levels for additional parking. So do the columns that we see above ground actually extend 3, 4, 5, etc.. floors underground? I guess they would have to be sitting on solid...

    Is anybody else absolutely amazed that these steel columns are going to carry the load of an entire condominium tower? I really hope the Engineers put fresh batteries in their calculators!
