High rise construction has slowed in other cities as well. Vancouver and Toronto are strong but have slowed, and they’re strong in the high rise dept mainly because housing is so expensive and there’s more incentive to build as many units as you can.

It’s still better than most 5/1s. I’m looking forward to seeing U/D after it’s built out.

17th Ave has always been busy, but this summer it’s been literally buzzing every night of the week. It’s twice as busy as what it was before Covid.

The building design is nothing special but the population burst is nice. Also in general the intersection at 10th Ave will be 100 times better.

Went to LHR and came back from Paris back in July. We’re already planning our trip next summer, which will be Calgary to Barcelona and back to Calgary from Rome. We’re so spoiled having these direct flights.

Looking at that last photo of U/D you can see there is so much room to have a bike lane. It still could happen without much cost or effort.
