    Toronto Toronto | Six Points Plaza Redevelopment | 144.6m | 45s | Liberty Development | Arcadis

I distinctly remember that there were no retail units facing the new inside street. Has that changed? That's quite a substantial retail component. Probably to be taken over by the Shoppers.

Are there any before pictures for us to compare? It saddens me to see the site so bare but such is the cost of building transit. And the consolation is that things will get start getting back to normal shortly after construction completion with the added bonus of much better transit access for...

Well, we'll know from our various photo posters on this thread over the next few days what the impact is on the build progress! Here's to hoping for continued build. I, personally, want The One to take the crown even if it is for only a few months!

Do you have a source on the budget being approved till 62 floors, @Collingwoodbuildinglover ? If so, then Skygrid built a very small number of floors after taking over from Mizrahi as GC.

Is there a reason they can't convert from ATO to surface operation at Laird station prior to leaving the station? There don't seem to be any positives for switching signalling methods while moving.

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Colour me surprised! It indeed is completed and ready! Pic courtesy of @kotsy , sorry for missing it in my previous post! The bridge is a network tied arch bridge that looks like below: Don't know how this will be constructed. Most likely brought to the site in segments and installed onsite.

I see a looooong and tubular rebar cage presumably for the piles. They will drill down and put the rebar cage inside the hole and fill it with concrete to form the footings on the western side of the bridge. They'll have the do the same thing on the eastern side and the new bridge will rest on...

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I found this quote from 6 months ago on Reddit in the TTC subreddit providing an answer on comparison between the Flexity Freedom and Citadis Spirit, supposedly from one of the testing operators. Of note, there's a statement in the quote stating that the reason for the delay is the difference...

I mean I'm sure the construction worker passes gas just like every human being but that's no reason to call him "AIR HORN"!! 🤣🤣

35m long most likely! Has to be to make it to the tunnel depth!

    Toronto Toronto | 5359 Dundas West | 157.7m | 49s | CentreCourt | Arcadis

New front page story is up regarding this building. New docs have dropped reducing the height to 49 floors or 158m. Elevator ratio is still at 150 tho. Slight improvement only. Additional details in the story...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Is this the knockout panel you're referencing? It does seem dependent on the Oxford Development (which is what I think is on the other side of McCowan)?

    Toronto Toronto | The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Which makes sense. The material and cladding was probably scheduled for ongoing delivery until 2023 which was originally when the building was supposed to be completed. It takes time and money to delay production and shipment, so Mizrahi probably received ownership of the cladding and stored...

    Mississauga Toronto | Exchange District Condos | 232m | 72s | Camrost-Felcorp | Arcadis

Let's see how much Mississauga is able to push up in terms of height. We're finally seeing the projects that were proposals for more than a decade finally come to fruition. Tho, just because there are no height limits doesn't mean there's reason to build taller. OKC seems to be an outlier...

    Mississauga Toronto | Exchange District Condos | 232m | 72s | Camrost-Felcorp | Arcadis

Here's a look at built and under construction buildings in Mississauga: M1 and M2 at M City are the tallest finished buildings in Mississauga at 197.8m tall. M3 at M City is the only tower that breaks 250m, coming in at 260.3m tall. The tallest Exchange District tower is 232m.

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line: Exhibition Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

What's stopping them from building all new GO platforms to the level boarding height? It's always bothered me that even new and renovated stations have steps down to the train platform level.

    Didn't you know Metrolinx is into BDSM? ... ... ... ... 50 Shades of Grey 🤣 🤣 🤣

Next update open house is scheduled for 13th July: Open House Looks to be explaining the end of tunneling.

    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

To be fair, there isn't any underpinning happening for Ontario Line. They're avoiding everything including the Line 1 and any sort of utilities by digging down 35 metres underground. Added onto the other items have already been mentioned in the thread.

    Toronto Toronto | The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Agreed, The One is still on track to top out and claim the title for tallest building in Canada. Skygrid will take some time but they'll start hitting a floor a week as well. But Sky Tower will definitely beat its height shortly after. It's like Toronto's version of the Chrysler building and...
