They have been digging holes and filling them up with concrete over the last month. Seems to be winding down and one of the excavators was removed today. Then there is also this...

Such an extraordinary claim is going to need multiple sources. You think 1 in 5 people are unemployed?

Yes. Retail is supposed to open a year earlier than the residential. Once the podium is done they will use the roof as a staging area as well. There is an amazing podcast episode on this building, its land assembly, design, financing, etc. in the Commercial Real Estate Podcast. Look for the...

I would hope they instead put the park on the north-west side opposite of the future park from the Bloor/Dufferin development. They should also merge the road space between the then two parks into the park to make a single large park, but the city lacks the guts to do that.

Gardens by the Bay is nice to visit as a tourist, but it isn't a space I would want to go back to every day. It lacks soul, to be frank. It is very flashy and human-made, and half the time you are walking through it it doesn't feel like you are in a garden so much as an art gallery. I much...

Those gaps, which I assume is space for thermal expansion so the bricks and mortar don't crack, are so good. So much better than a straight vertical line.

Sure, smaller 7-story building with no amenities and no security. However, I know of several high-rise condos that also have > $1/sq ft. I think given the building is using a novel building material and actually wants to put plants on everything the cost is going to high. Maintenance of quality...

    KING Toronto (Westbank/Allied) - Real Estate -

I am not aware of a recent building that doesn't meter hydro, heating, and cooling separately. Water, while they may claim is separately metered, may or may not be in the end. My building meters all those and yet the fees are still $1.00. Add in the unconventional building material like glass...

If I were to buy here I would budget for $1.50 - $2.00 per sq ft for maintenance fees. This is a luxury building and there will be extra upward pressure on the fees as the residents expect a higher quality building.

Mid-rises are the single most expensive built form in this city. So while we need more of them, to think we can replace towers with them is foolish. Unless the goal is to build a city for only the ultra-wealthy, in which case that path is the best one.

It is seven storeys. I live in the building which is where this photo was taken from. I am just surprised they can fit 17 units on such a small lot. The units must be small.

The Abbey on College St is being replaced by a 3-story multi-use building containing 17 residential units and ground floor retail and underground parking according to the permits. They have started the demolishing of the existing building today.

I think it is fair to say if floorplans and price lists are available, but they are not yet signing contracts until a future date to give more people a chance to request a specific layout, it can still be considered on sale.

Got an email that this project is now on sale. Let's hope it sells out quickly before this bubble bursts, it would be a shame if this one doesn't get built.

They could have gotten rid of the turning lane for one. And get rid of street parking on the main through roads. There are many things they can do to narrow it, they just don't care enough about safety. The design review panel also criticized them for the ROW widths and they did nothing to...
