These drawings arent secured with the approval, only the zoning By-law is. So technically the height is 300m until this becomes a real project through SPA - where the height can become anything 300m or less. Recommendation Reports use the zoned height for this reason.

That's exactly Vancouver's plan with Granville Street, which is currently one of their busiest transit routes. Buses are being relocated to parallel streets which are being enhanced to speed up and prioritize transit.

I don't quite get the question. How would you provide light to those units without the gap? It's a double loaded corridor on each wing. Windows need to go somewhere and a courtyard is the only solution.
