A little late. It launched a while ago. See a few pages back. The penthouse sold for a good $16mil

This appeal is effectively dead. Bill 185 passed third reading this afternoon. Should be given royal ascent in the next few days, before the legislature recesses for the summer.

Soil cells. They’re working on getting the sidewalk completed so the hoarding can be removed and the sidewalks can reopen while work continues above.

I’m not saying we should give up on quality or stop building larger units. I’m just constantly hearing people use the ‘small units aren’t homes ’ excuse to oppose any development. That said, there is still demand for smaller units in condo projects as the larger units become out of reach for...

A studio is still a home. I live in under 500sqft and love my home. Who are you to say it’s not home?

There’s always the possibility that the extra height was never feasible to begin with, and was just a last minute ploy to satisfy lenders. 😉

Looks like they are keeping it mostly intact but just added the right for second parties to appeal. Second party being someone whose land is being rezoned. Still no third party appeals and it’s been moved to 3rd reading now.

Anything that didn’t have a merit hearing scheduled before April 10th would be automatically dismissed. Edit: Oops. Probably should’ve hit refresh to see if anyone else had responded first.

Can’t wait to see their faces when Bill 185 goes through soon and kills this appeal 🤣

Pret A Manger coming to Canada!

I honestly don’t see the appeal of Pret. It was great in London only because it was everywhere and convenient for a quick stop. We have so many other options here that it’s the last place I’d consider.

It’s shown on page 6 of the architectural plans. The application includes a 25m setback. The Ontario Line will be running adjacent to the building providing a buffer and doesn’t require the same setback since dangerous goods won’t be carried on those tracks.

If questions about servicing come up at community council and no one from Solid Waste or Transportation supports the proposal, the file is in for a rough ride. No answers = no approval. Also, some of their items can be added to the SPA. If the developer doesn’t resolve them, no SPA. So yes...

No, they were confirmed a while back under Nordstrom, but it looks like their space is impacted by the Nordstrom re-demising.

The Free People space is actually part of the Nordstrom re-demising.

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

I’m a little confused. Was this stretch of the Gardiner not redone back in 2014? I remember it being reduced to 2 lanes for an extended period of time, and it reopened before the Pan Am games.
