I took a Japan trip in June due to the new flight and anecdotally know a ton of people who did the same (university grad trips)

That would be great to basically have full protection from downtown all the way to Cochrane once everything is connected. More protected intersections too, absolutely hate cycling through all-way stops

The fact that Amsterdam's ring road is 32km while ours will be 100km with a similar urban population within the ring illustrates this perfectly

Bow River flood barrier and Eau Claire promenade today, different pathway surface treatments showing delineation between walking/cycling but no signage/markings yet

100% agree, love how the area itself has turned out but when I bike through the main street on my uni commute, it feels uncomfortable to take the full travel lane so I end up straddling the line while trying to avoid the door zone at the same time. Really wish they had protected bike lanes instead.
