    Calgary | Imperia | 95.3m | 27s | Truman | NORR

Wow ... you need a program to follow this one. First Genco, then Minto, then Royop and now Truman?

    Calgary | Scotia Place | 36.85m | 11s | CSEC | HOK

For a project that all set to start construction a year ago (I think), there does not seem to be a lot of urgency to get things done.

Technically, YYZ is in Mississauga which is a separate municipality.

    Alberta Provincial Politics

A lot of similarities to Trump's MAGA agenda. The main difference being that TBA does not have a populist leader who wants to be a dictator. I guess we will see in the election whether Danielle Smith is really a 'puppet' for this movement.

I agree. They probably won't run Kansas City Southern from Calgary. Americans don't take too kindly to having head offices of U.S businesses, based in Canada

    Calgary | Green Line LRT | ?m | ?s | Calgary Transit

Drive around Stampede Park lately? ... 11 Ave, 12 Ave, 4 St ... what a mess with all the underground utility work going on and the resulting detours. It started about a year ago and will continue for awhile longer. All of this in preparation for the Green line. It is just as well that there has...

    Calgary | The Barron | 43m | 11s | Strategic Group | Gibbs Gage

Good question. This is what he said at the press conference “The Barron Building redevelopment project aligns with the federal government’s objective to ensure that every Canadian has a home they can afford and that meets their needs by 2030,” Chahal said in a statement. “I am eager to work with...

There was lots of hype 4-5 years ago when this conversion was first announced. Let's hope this does not get stalled again.

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

Seems to me there have been a couple of failed proposals for that location. That rendering looks familiar and may have been one of them

    Calgary | Solo on 4th | 16.76m | 5s | Indevelopments | Indevelopments

There is a lot of interior work left to do. It looks to me like Indevelopments have run out of cash and perhaps there are suppliers/trades that have not been paid.

More flights to Windsor Ontario? I can't see a whole lot of demand going east. It must be Americans (Detroit area) and people in southwestern Ontario wanting to come out to Alberta.

That is the best solution for that prime space??? Just renovate the existing building?

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

I don't think I've seen this reported. There is some promotion going on at the site of Midfield Heights https://redsprod.microsoftcrmportals.com/MH-sign-up/ Looks like the City is trying to drum up development interest and would suggest they have not found a partner yet. Surprising as I thought...

    Calgary | Oliver | 121.3m | 35s | Centron | Gibbs Gage

Still a lot of empty lots on the north side of the tracks from 4 St west to 11 St. Other than the One Properties (Metro Ford) project, I have not heard of any other proposals for the north side. Has anyone else?

    Water-cooler discussion thread

I don't think we will see any more residential developments from him. Whatever wealth he has left will be lost in civil lawsuits I have no doubt.

    Calgary & Alberta Economy

If that is true to then Trudeau's response to the question could have been somewhat thoughtful instead of 'I have not seen the business case' which caused 'face palms' everywhere. Anyway, according to this map, there is no pipeline past Quebec City that is taking natural gas to the east...

The terminals are useless unless we have pipelines to get the gas there and a plant to liquify it.

    Calgary & Alberta Economy

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/case-canadian-liquefied-natural-gas-192500089.html I interpret this as a response to Trudeau's statement of 'I have not seen the business case' when asked about pipelines & LNG plants on the east coast. I wish business and government would get on the same page and...

    Calgary Flames Official Thread

They are not scoring enough ... plain & simple. Huberdeau & Kadri have not filled the scoring void left by Gaudreau & Tkachuk. Although Gaudreau is having an average season (for him) in Columbus, look at what Tkachuk is doing in Florida.
