There's a building permit sign in the door of Home & Away, glad to see they aren't just leaving it and are probably going to come up with a new concept. The BP is from 2023 though, so I wonder if they are trying to sneak one by without going for new permits lol.

Apparently they are having issues with one of their hubs downtown. It's affecting a large area of the Beltline and Downtown.

This is likely the best solution, have more smaller centers spread out through the city, not one massive location. I'd expect something in the industrial areas, and maybe something near Chinook.

Anyone else downtown having issues with Rogers the last week? The internet in my office is spotty at best and it's bloody irritating lol.

I can see those lights being approved by the city because they reduce light pollution. They don't make decisions based on aesthetics or logic, they do it to solve a problem that won't really be changed by this decision lol.

Yeah we need more options for tourists other than just Banff. I think Kananaskis Village needs to get much bigger, especially if Nakiska is a 4 season resort. Crowsnest seems like an area that is ripe for more tourism, it's 2+ hours, but is gorgeous and close enough to Fernie that it should be...

It would be a lot of work to convert a 40 storey tower to a hotel, what's the tallest conversion we have had so far? The smaller floor plate would probably be a good thing in that context.

I imagine they will build the entire parkade and podium in one go, then focus on one tower first, then the other. If they can stage it so trades can go right from the first building to the second, that would be ideal. Going to cost a lot of money to build this though... Looks like I waited to...

A grocery store in Inglewood would be huge, Inglewood and Ramsay are both without currently. Doesn't need to be a full size store, but should carry most essentials.

If Gresham was maintained over the years it would still be standing, that building was in terrible shape though! I wonder if a grocery store is still in the cards for the new build.

Glad there was no appeal, figured someone would for sure. Since it's Truman, I would expect construction to start ASAP.
