He was democratically elected. It's difficult to absolve the populace from consequences for their collective actions.

It not charity though, he isn't giving money to the city. He is investing and making a profit for himself. Which is fine, as he should, but wish it would stop being phrased as it currently is.

    Suburban Development and Sprawl

Oh, I have. People in other places tend to walk out of necessity. Not many people prefer walking, other than in ideal conditions. Edmonton is not car dependent, it's car preferred. Hence why you are always so frustrated developments cater to cars.

Maybe people don't like walking as much as you believe.

    132 Ave Renewal

I wouldnt say the road is used as an arterial road. Most people would use 137ave and yellowhead trail for arterial purposes. I'd be referring to local access as it's generally used for. I don't think many people are using this road for long trips due to school zones.

    132 Ave Renewal

Just wait until school begins and traffic is backed up due to busses and traffic constantly stopping due to 1 lane of traffic each way. All that while bike lanes are sparsely used, especially during winter months and days that don't have ideal weather. Some sort of multi use paths would have...

Hopefully the new government comes in and removes them.

It's absolutely stunning. I question how it will hold up in winter though. Will those boards not turn into ice, along with the stonework in the gaps on the last picture. Hope I'm wrong though, as I mentioned, absolutely great job on the look and feel of the paths.

    Edmonton | ICE District Phase 2 | 149.95m | ?s | ICE District Prop.

This should 100% not be approved. It borderline on corruption in plain sight.

It's almost as walkable isn't a concern for most people and just those stuck in their own little bubble...

    Commonwealth Stadium

Viewership from 2019 to 2024 has declined from 559k per game to 454k. Attendance per game has slightly improved over past couple years, yet is still significantly lower than crowds going back to 2000. It's a fun little league, but with all the entertainment options out there, it's going to...

    LRT Safety

Maybe put people in jail who consume narcotics in public, instead of giving $25 fines, or no fines as is the current policy. Problem solved. It's not hard, the solution is there, and it's easy.
  15. J

    Commonwealth Stadium

For 9 football games a year in a deteriorating league and a handful of concerts doesn't seem a good use of public money. If we had unlimited funds sure, but the city is not in that position, or even in a position to issue debt.

    Municipal Politics

Would be nice if Knack ran, if even for the fact that he seems like a reasonable and nice person. That is such a massive win in politics these days.

    Anthony Henday Drive

People will actually use these roads, expanding capacity and allowing for transportation networks to serve thousands of commuters. Bike lanes serve dozens of individuals who would bicycle on roads or use public transportation. With all the e-bikes and electric scooters now, bike lanes are also...

Will be interesting to see if resident and visitor parking sits in these stalls making it difficult to access this free parking for retail visits or other short visits of the same sort.
  19. J

    132 Ave Renewal

Kindly shut the fuck up. I expressed an opinion, and you are name calling and calling me a troll. I have to listen to the bike lane community expressing their opinion that is probably 90% of the people here. Not that it matters, but neither a conservative either. You are free to express your...
