    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

And yet they all seem content with screwing an entire generation of riders with their bait and switch tactics. This missed opportunity has set us back over 10 years, which is essentially a generation.

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

All about govt optics. Had they cancelled earlier they would've looked incompetent and would hurt their poll numbers. Also youre wrong in the nation that they "realised fairly quickly it wasn't going to work". They actively chose to not make it work and strung us along to the tune of billions of...

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

Wow with each fortnight comes more shit on MLs ineptitude leaking out... Very very disappointing yet not surprising considering the size of their c suite. The question now is what will they do about it...my guess is NOTHING AT ALL.... hoping that dougie or the next govt will disband this leach...

    Ontario Northland/Northern Ontario Transportation

can we move the conversation from improvements to REPLACEMENT? im not sure why we have to continually scrape more seconds out of a 70 year old relic instead of actively finding suitable new replacements?

prob no different than the VIA ventures. so it may be an uncomfortable ride overnight,

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

whatever was authorized was at least 10 years ago. its not like this is the first time were seeing OCS in renders. this is just a legacy detail standard.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

the only answer is NEVER. there is simply no budget nor the morality like the japanese to regularly clean their transit infrastructure and vehicles.

    Toronto Toronto | Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

thats what usually happens with the lowest bidder.... lots of corners cut i can imagine to meet the deadlines.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

i can get if you walk around on it like a tightroper, but to go all paranoid for even touching it with your foot in a stationary position like that guy was is just plain overreacting.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

What is so dangerous about putting a foot on the rail? Its not like a train will suddenly come and run him over. Ive seen contractors legally put their feet in much more dangerous places....

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

means nothing if ML is going to play charades on this. they can allow for it all they want. now lets actually install the real stuff

Toronto Ontario Line 3 | Metrolinx

anything is possible. it just depends on how much money youre willing to dump into it. Isnt the Don valley bridge an even longer span between piers? no fancy arches there as well... there are many ways to skin a cat when it comes to bridges. this is simply a case of the original bridges being...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

well how much of that initial $XXX has been spent and how much is remaining? I guess some adventurer will need to submit a FoIA request for their accounting books on this.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

the bigger question is that they earmarked BILLIONS for GO expansion... I have yet to hear a clear explanation on how that money was spent since we are only a fraction of the progress on project completion and they seemingly have reach their budget. WHERE DID ALL THE MONEY GO?!
  15. cplchanb

Toronto Ontario Line 3 | Metrolinx

Will they lower the completed bridge to match the grade of the GO tracks or will it be inherently higher than the latter?

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

honestly inaction on any construction of rail infrastructure over the years have probably cost us hundreds of billions in total. Had we done something earlier, costs to construct wouldve been much lower and the cost of gridlock and lost revenue wouldve been minimized too.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

the amount of political bait and switching recently for GO expansion is just vomit inducing.🤢🤮

so referencing from this photo looks like they dug up the track just before finch.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

FML....they could've easily done most of this retaining walll work over night instead of shutting down an entire line.

GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

wow...so theyre buying back their old garbage because somehow they cant source newer ones..... ML fail
