Yes, this was approved on July 2nd - McKernan @76. I will post imagens soon. But picture this: Metro 78, Belgravia Heights and McKernan @76. We got 3 corners of the LRT station. The other one is the school. TOD at its best!

There many things to do before construction start besides demolition. EPCOR extension of new water line, closure of existing alleys removal of trees for construction of new alleys. This are required for the consolidation of the newly created lots. Finally, construction is scheduled for next...

All good points. The design still needs DP-level refinements to move forward after rezoning. Also, the developer is not quite lean on parking but is committed to providing parking for residents and limited paid parking for Whyte Ave patrons .

Here is another update on the Varsity project. We presented to EDC on Monday and received a letter of support. As I said earlier, the design has evolved. This is a view looking south from Whyte Ave. This is a view looking north from 81 Avenue.

Happy Friday everyone! The development permit for Metro 78 is finally approved! I will come back to post what is happening around McKernan LRT station. Let's just say we've 2 out of 3 done.

The feedback we received from the City was to learn from RB mistakes and make it better.

Varsity - the idea is to have a podium that fits into the heritage context and a minimalist design above.

I can't help if the "landmark" building and empty affordable housing promises from the previous developer were more appealing.
