    I disagree. I think the initial phase looks fantastic, and if you forced them to retain the facade it would take away from this architecture in the future phase. I don't think the existing building adds to the area, so understand why its not designated.

    There was that article a couple month ago about how the site in receivership wasn't worth the asking price of $1.2B - and there weren't any buyers coming forward at that price. Has anyone heard anything on the street? I'd be interested in other projects that had their receivers finish a project.

    Have you seen any other sites like this proposed/built in the city? I would've thought they would've popped up all over the city as potential alternative to condo high-rise living. Guess its too hard to make economics work even for smaller projects.

    Does the school have any outdoor area anymore? Although the expansion is great for the school, there aren't any parks or areas for recess in this area - so thinking this greenspace would've been actively used by the students.
