    Edmonton | ONE12 | 46m | 14s

For one person living alone this unit would be fine enough, but I would hate having a guest over because they would have to cut through my bedroom to go out to the balcony.

    LRT Expansion Planning

I wonder how fast the capital line trains could get going with a big open stretch of track and no stations between Edmonton and Ft Sask

Wait, is the name of the plaza "Public Plaza" ? A little uninspired - but also it's on private land so it's actually Private Plaza ? 🤔

    West Edmonton Mall

They don't even have to go to Asia (though they should). The experience of taking transit to malls in Vancouver alone is entirely different, taking the train to Metrotown is worlds different, even driving to Metrotown feels better than driving to West Ed, it's so jank feeling outside.

    What's this for?

Edmonton's population is booming, where are all the new proposals?

I think it would be appropriate to start it as free, or an inconsequential annual fee to cover program expenses. Maybe it's free/cheap for the first car, but increasing fee for every additional vehicle registered to the same address. From there we can see how behaviour adjusts, and as we...

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

I wouldn't be opposed to a path extension like that in addition to a bike lane on 112 Ave, but I would consider it to be an absolute failure as an alternative. Having the bike lane directly on 112 Ave supports access to shopping and services which is critically important to supporting usage...

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

One road/intersection of high relevance to me that is in their plan is 112 Ave @ 82 St. There's not really any room available to be sacrificed on the road or sidewalk. The sidewalks on the western portion is already too narrow, the road is curb to curb 4 lanes and a turn lane, and frequently...

    Edmonton | Blatchford Development | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

I was just looking at some of the Blatchford websites to look for something, and on this website https://blatchfordedmonton.ca/ They managed to capture the one angle that makes Blatchford look super urban and developed. Looks good from this angle!

Update: I went by this morning, and there's no obvious fire damage to ....anything? Definitely nothing that I could see on the structure.

Two reddit posts in the stadium yards development this morning? Sketchy happenings! Same poster though. Has anyone seen how bad the fire damage was?

I wonder how many of these drivers are using a GPS system that hasn't been updated in years. "YEAH MY OLD GARMIN STILL WORKS FINE!"

    Yellowhead Trail Upgrades

I've gotten so used to going the long way around that I'm not sure Fort Road even still exists north of the Yellowhead. It's like some sort of mythical tale passed down by the ages.

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Edmonton

A BRT with high frequency and good reliability due to dedicated lanes and advance lights where necessary will make it's own case. LRT is better of course, but for many the issues with busses come down more to unpredictability and unreliability that come with mixed traffic.

    Capital Line LRT

For trains that would be packed all the time, option 2 is better. But purely in terms of seating arrangements I prefer option 3. It's nice to have paired and single seat options plus a bit more room to stand. That said I can live with anything that isn't these face-to-face groupings the LRT...

    Edmonton | Stadium Yards | ?m | 6s | Rohit Communities

It looks really good having buildings right up along the LRT line! Once phase 3 is here too it's going to completely change the vibe in this area.

And here I thought Qualico had supreme authority over all who approach their domain.
