Looks like there have been some design changes to the proposal based on this image shared by the developer today:

    Hamilton Toronto | 162 Ward Avenue | 115.5m | 38s | R+L

I recall recently seeing this site on a list of properties owned by McMaster... Is this proposal coming from Mac/ Knightstone? Or who's the prospective developer proposing this joke?

    Hamilton Toronto | Lincoln Alexander Hall | 59.31m | 15s | Knightstone | Diamond Schmitt

That place is legendary. Designed by Eb Zeidler, who also designed Toronto's Eaton Centre and Toronto's Trump tower. More info about it from the Ontario Architecture Association here...

    Hamilton Toronto | Lincoln Alexander Hall | 59.31m | 15s | Knightstone | Diamond Schmitt

These drone shots from Reimar's social media only show one crane so are a couple weeks outdated but offer a great perspective of the site

    Grimsby Toronto | The Casablanca | 87m | 25s | Rosseau | WZMH

A bunch of changes to this proposal, and a change in status to Approved by OLT (@Paclo ). I can't link to the news article but its visible at this link: https://www.newsnowniagara.com/2024/06/16/newsnow-e-edition-june-13-2024/ In summary, heights increased to 15 and 25 storeys, and parking...

    Hamilton Toronto | 1029 West 5th Street | 31m | 9s | Valery Homes | KNYMH

Photo from today. The building is topped off on the east side, nearing structural completion. Windows are in across most of the floors 2 and 3.

    Hamilton Toronto | 1107 Main Street West | 50.96m | 15s | IN8 Developments | srm Architects

LOL you can tell by the background that the promo graphic team put the building at 1107 Main St EAST rather than West! How incredibly amateur.

From a friend's balcony. 213 King in the immediate background.

    Hamilton Toronto | Jamesville Redevelopment | ?m | 20s | Marz Homes | Kirkor

@Paclo looks like we can change the thread title to reflect Kirkor as the architect of record for the site as a whole, in addition to revising the height to 20 storeys.

    Hamilton Toronto | Television City | ?m | 32s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Those aerial photos are awesome but I'm not sure they fully impress on viewers the depth of the hole at the moment. Here's a crappy photo from a recent walk past:

    Hamilton Toronto | McMaster Graduate Student Residence | 97.9m | 30s | Knightstone | Diamond Schmitt

It's fun seeing this building pop up in views from areas around downtown because of its superior height relative to Hamilton's previous generations of apartment buildings. I love the view of the crown from Caroline in Durand here.

    Hamilton Toronto | 354 King Street West | 82.71m | 25s | Vrancor Development | srm Architects

Yep, everything about the site plan on this one is horrible horrible horrible.

King Street looking east from Ray. 2016 via Streetview vs 2024 by me today. I'll check in again in 2032 with a photo that will include two new towers at King and Caroline plus an LRT train :)

    Hamilton Toronto | 1620 Main Street East | 22.5m | 6s | CityHousing Hamilton | Edge Architects

Another view of construction at 1620 from the top floor of the adjacent building under construction, posted to social media by the architect. @Paclo we can change status to U/C.

    Hamilton Toronto | LiUNA Gardens | ?m | 26s | Fengate Properties | Graziani + Corazza

If I were told a week ago that one proposed development in the Hamilton area was destined for non-approval, this very well might have been the one I would have identified. The only good argument for this was density for the sake of density. The neighbourhood is neither well-serviced for that...

    Hamilton Toronto | 213 King Street West | 94.3m | 30s | Vrancor Development | ZO1

Bottom photo shows how King and Caroline is being transformed from street level. Top photo shows the form work on this one, including a stair egress that currently presents as a skylight and a transfer slab on the south. I didn't realize till I got home that my pic didn't extend further to the...
