Just want to say, I live nearby and am in full support of this project. I can agree with clarifying what the specific use of some of the non-residential components of this development are, but I absolutely despise the idea of this breaking the 'character' of the neighbourhood. What character...

I wish you luck in fighting it because you'll need it given that this a high quality development in every way possible. Interesting you previously brought up small children and nap times. You know what else those small children may need? Affordable housing and a city where traffic isn't...

Any word on community consultations for this project? It'd be a massive boost to the area, especially the interior courtyard/plaza full of retail (or that's what it looks like)

Absolutely love this, it's what's needed to reanimate Ossington between Bloor and Dundas, would be great to have it done up Dovercourt and Ossington from Bloor to Davenport as well. Hopefully some future proposals will remain in the same height range, and include some small streetfront retail...

I'm thinking the above plans still leave lots to be possibly redeveloped in the future with the two southern towers. Not sure how feasible that would be, but just an idea.

One can only wish. I've always hoped that the nearby Ontario Place could open up to becoming the regular spot for a weekly Electric Island-like festival all summer long, it's tucked away nicely from the NIMBYs who consistently moved themselves into our entertainment district and tear it apart.

Just came back across the thread and figured I'd notify that it's still marked as Pre-Construction!

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Place | ?m | ?s | Infrastructure ON

Some of the proposals have a complete lack of any cultural significance, they render the site pretty much useless after the sun goes down. Ontario Place is quite literally the perfect spot for the proper revival of weekly/bi-weekly festivals like Electric Island, something akin to Montreal's...

    Toronto Toronto | 2 Carlton | 251.1m | 73s | Northam | IBI Group

I do agree, it's likely a way to test waters. I do like that they have to move to a 1 tower format, a 2-tower format on this site feels incredibly crowded to me and I'd like to see the tower rise out of a slightly wider podium, or something of the sorts. The design is so bad that no...

Very much agreed, a brick facade stretching up 5-6 storeys would do this development wonders, much like 19 Duncan as you mentioned OR PJ Condos just a little west. I absolutely adore glass towers from a skyline perspective, but frankly pure glass podiums just don't add life to the street-level...
