Yeah I agree, I feel like cursing. This makes ZERO sense. Everyone coming to these meetings for the most part have been asking why density isn't being increased.

Although beautiful, it's too stuffy and conservative. Plus it feels tiny. Not much counterculture or an art scene (despite it's musical and culturally rich history whose impact is still felt, I feel like it's become more hallowed out). Doesn't appeal to me as a young artist but can tolerate...

I’m at a loss for words, been askin myself this for awhile. I don’t know. You let me know when you find out because I am so irretreivably angry at city hall.

I think we all will wake up in a very different Toronto pretty soon with all of these kinds of renewal projects. Love to see how our city is changing, and how oftentimes neighbouring developments get inspired or pushed to create more thoughtfully designed communities and builds.

I know so many artists (musicians, performers, rappers, actors) that have become so successful, as well as people in my circle that grew up in these few apartment blocks in Regent. While i'm not sad to see these manhattan-style 'projects' go in exchange for beautiful Danish buildings...

I called open studio yesterday - as a printmaker the loss of this would be devastating. There is nowhere else in TO to print with a membership.

I had some family visiting from Alberta, and they were quite blown away by the cluster of high-rises in these centres surrounding Toronto, while flying into Pearson. They are not used to seeing many tall towers outside of downtown Calgary and on this scale. Had to remind them that the greater...

I think geary is going to be the next Ossington. I was recently in the artsy Bushwick neighbourhood in Brooklyn, NY and it had a lot of similarities to Geary. Very ugly but part of the charm.

Love this overall but jheez looking at the renders this solidifies to me that the East-enders really need to step up their fashion game 😂 okay.. Leslieville is the exception.

Also - i'm not sure I am loving the canopy around the pools, blocking the view of the pool from the waterfront promenade. It seems like a barrier and this portion of the proposal looks kind of drab from a design standpoint.
