I think stackt adds something to the absolutely soulless area, so I think i'd feel the loss if it were gone, but I guess the clock is ticking anyway because the site will be redeveloped. You live in a big city, of course there will be noise.

There was live music in the well yesterday, wish I would have recorded it. Many tourists and locals watching, smiling and dancing. Great vibe.

i'm less married to the design at this point and more married to the overall output of MV in terms of community feel, culture, small shops and vibe.

What makes that southern stretch of Yonge from where you've described the most important and prominent? When one transformation happens, it often creates a chain reaction across the city, so I think you're missing the point.

I’m really hoping thought will be put into programming of the site. The waterfront needs more well-known cultural spots like this. It’s great OCAD has stakes in it but i’d like to see international/experimental and quirky exhibitions - not that ocad students arent already making great works...

Not to open a can of worms, but i'd argue that Torontonians love to grumble and criticise, but only because they are so well travelled... it's a big-city thing. Toronto is a pretty wealthy city and has pretty great connections to Europe and such, so I found the reclusive stereotype isn't true...

Really great. Even though the designs aren’t Gaudi, this really promotes the viability of suburbs in the GTA and North America as distinct cities with their own amenities and cultural resources. It’s importance for Vaughan is underplayed.

I feel like in my head, I feel like with an LCBO ‘potentially’ closing down might get eyes from advocates for rail service on the midtown line. Big emphasis on what could happen, but again… who knows. I live near this corridor, it’s my number one dream for Toronto right now.

They look like a dystopian West Berlin... iconic but in a creepy way.

I really hope the new development will embrace the castlefield design district's ethos. Maybe some maker-spaces/multipurpose cheap studio spaces for all kinds of artists. Or maybe an outpost for Sheridan/OCAD's industrial design students. One can only dream.

Disagree, many developments/land parcels in the inner suburbs are building up and densifying.

I hate the idea of including car-parking in this development, it should be just a pedestrian-centred. However I like the designs so far.
