CLT is great and yes a huge potential for Alberta. However there are other Mass Timber products that could also serve many of these projects. Or looking at hybrid. Mass Timber and Light frame, MT and steel, MT and conc.

I think the question should be. "how long until industry decides to go taller than 6 storeys in Mass Timber or a hybrid?" it's been allowed for 2 years and still no one has put a shovel in the ground.

To bad this could have fit into the new 2020 EMTC provisions accepted in Alberta. But you are correct in saying there is some additional leg work.
