I missed seeing the falling glass as I was at lunch but I did see the emergency workers 'taping' it up afterwards from my office window. Earlier in the year a window broke across the street in the Chevron building.

Why bother having such a tiny patio enough for only 8 people, 2 tables. You might be able to push it to 4 tables total, but that'll be crowded. you're going to have to get on a waitlist that's probably 2 years at the moment:rolleyes:

the weather on parade day was great, it would have been nicer if we were able to sit on the Dorian's patio to watch it (it would have been a little early for wobbly pops though)

I thought that they would have to do that too, I work downtown and whenever I'm on this block I look for the notice (at least a sandwich board) and haven't seen it yet. They may have had it in a inconspicuous location and I never seen it though. As for recourse if it didn't happen, I can't...

my home sits north south but I should say that the north side does get direct sun for a hour or so in the morning and a few hours in the later evening during the summer, however the suns low in the sky. but technically its direct sun, so you'd get a bit of electricity production from solar...

Don't forget the Palliser also a block away - so no shortages of hotels in the immediate area.
