Well I must have been living under a rock. When I saw the York Demolition banner on that building last week I realized I completely missed this. Anyone know when they'll bring the building down? I want to watch if possible.

The buildings next to and across Wally's are hideous. Just thought I'd share that.

Welp, it was only a matter of time before these last few houses in that stretch of Hurontario turned into buildings :). I live a block away, so very excited to see how these turn out. Wonder what the pricing will look like.

Yeah sorry, only had a crappy cellphone camera and the zoom would be useless. Looks nice though. Lord knows I've been waiting for them to light the tops up for years. So when I saw it, I knew I needed to take a picture to share with you folks at UT (even though I hadn't logged in in probably...

Finally lit! Not sure how long they've been lit up (I would've noticed if it was done for a while). Just saw tonight: They seem to be alternating between blue and white purpleish (one is blue and the other is purple, then each fades into the other's colour).

I don't know most buildings by name. But I looked up Accolade and I think it looks great. For the L tower, my first choice would've been red :p. Neither of the two "test panels" (if they are indeed their choices) look good to me.

Mississauga Celebration Square Redevelopment (CS&P Architects) COMPLETE

Made my way to Celebration Square for fireworks last night around 10pm. Completely PACKED. What was the capacity of the square? 40? 50? It was full and the screens and SOUND especially (no echo and I don't think the sound from the shows can be heard very loudly in the surrounding buildings and...

Mississauga Celebration Square Redevelopment (CS&P Architects) COMPLETE

Someone mentioned the stance against advertising on the big screens. Does this rule out, for example, televising a Leafs playoff game on the big screens down the road? That would be disappointing. As for the Memorial, I agree, it's pretty bare. But it looked really good in the night shot...

Sheridan College (MCC, 4s, Rounthwaite Dick & Hadley Architects) COMPLETE

Do I remember correctly that there will be another Sheridan building to the north of the current one just built? Between the new one and Rathburn? I recall a roundabout along that road. Will have to look up that PDF soon.

Earlier I had asked whether the underside of the concrete (i.e. the balcony ceilings) would be painted. Sure enough, driving by there a couple of days ago, they were painted grey. Looked very nice!

Great photographs as ALWAYS! Anyone else think that they should pain the underside of the concrete. Or rather, the "ceiling" of the balconies on each floor. That unpainted concrete is quite noticeable when looking at pictures taken from right below the tower.

Mississauga Celebration Square Redevelopment (CS&P Architects) COMPLETE

Drove by the site today. The screen looked massive from the glimpse I got and these pictures reinforce that.

Excellent, thanks! Hadn't seen that rendering in years :) .

Looks beautiful. Honestly, I'd like there to be a lighted top on these buildings. Like .. a blue glowing ring. A bit like the Limelight condos seem to have.

    Mississauga Toronto | Widesuites Condominiums | ?m | 35s | Conservatory Group | Richmond Architects

I like the building, to be honest, but not a huge fan of the parking garage. I agree that it shouldn't have been along Hurontario. Bad attempt at covering it up too LOL. But the building itself, I definitely don't mind its look.

    miWay Transit

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but has anyone noticed how the new Miway (Hybrid?) buses, the orange ones on Route 19, roll backwards slightly before jerking into motion? Luckily I was able to catch two people from falling due to this in the span of one week. Just an observation.

I read through most of this thread many months ago, but for some reason cannot recall what's going to be at street level of these two towers along Hurontario between Burnhamthorpe and what used to be Clarica. Retail?
