Ontario Line Extension West of Ontario Place (Speculation)

Hence my turning the Dundas BRT to an LRT on my fantasy maps. BTW as a heads up to everyone, I'll be incorporating the Don Mills LRT idea into the east/north extension of the Ontario Line. I see it stretching up and over to Finch-Yonge to tie into Line 6, thus making the circle route people...

Ontario Line Extension West of Ontario Place (Speculation)

If you think so. Personally, I mirrored what was happening on Line 5 with Line 3 here. Even if the area is residential, people living there deserve better access to the necessities like shopping malls and the like. And if the number of GOLF COURSES that are in that part of Toronto are...

Ontario Line Extension West of Ontario Place (Speculation)

Thanks, JMI. Anyhow, here's the second and last map I'm going to make that concerns the westward expansion of the Ontario Line (which, as I noted before, I designate as Line 3 in my map series). First, the link...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

And here comes the fantasy map of central Etobicoke now, showing what I have in mind for not the Line 5 western extension, but also extending both Lines 3 and 6 to Pearson Airport, adding in a LRT version of the Mississauga Transitway and a streetcar line covering Kipling Avenue. Enjoy...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Second fantasy map now done, showing western Toronto, southeast Etobicoke and southern end of York. Here, I show a few things... 1) I extend the Ontario Line (heretofore called Line 3) west along the Oakville Sub from Exhibition, that following along the Lakeshore West and VIA Corridor/Maple...

Ontario Line Extension West of Ontario Place (Speculation)

Thanks. Should have a map of central Etobicoke (covering from Kipling Station to the 409 N/S, Etobicoke Creek to Royal York Road E/W) up sometime soon. It will also contain where I plan to take Line 3 beyond Anglesea Station.

Ah, apologies for that. This is a combination road/rail map. If you'll look at Lake Shore Boulevard west of the Gardiner, you'll see a TTC-red thinner line overlaid on the burgundy road marking denoting a decommissioned highway. The red boxes marked 501 and 508 in white indicate the streetcar...

Ontario Line Extension West of Ontario Place (Speculation)

I just finished work on this map of the western sector of old Toronto with southeast Etobicoke and southwest York, showing what I'd think would be a good public transit network for this part of the whole city: https://www.deviantart.com/pyeknu/art/Toronto-Old-Toronto-West-Fantasy-Map-949732811...

Ontario Line Extension West of Ontario Place (Speculation)

My proposed solution to that is to extend Line 2 along the Galt Subdivision past the 427, then head south to curve around Sherway Gardens to link up with Brown's Line and head straight south to Long Branch GO before turning west along the Oakville Subdivision to the Hurontario LRT. This way...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

I just did the first of a series of fantasy maps for Toronto based on Open Street Map (done via Paint 3D). In the map for southern Etobicoke, I extended Line 2 west of Kipling along the Galt Subdivision under the 427 before swinging it around Sherway Gardens to parallel Brown's Line down to...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Unless the stop meant for Hamilton falls around Copetown (crossing of old Highways 52 and 99), it would be best to put it at Aldershot.

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Here's a proposal I came up with a couple years ago concerning a Niagara LRT system, which would make use of Trillium Railway's main Canal Line as well as both of CPR's Stevensville Spur (ex-Fort Erie Subdivision) and Montrose Subdivision. Such would use the Townline Tunnel to bypass the Bridge...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

I love the concept here. I've been working on my own road/rail fantasy maps of Niagara via copying OpenStreetMap data. Thanks for including in areas of south Niagara in this one!

Well, glad to have discovered this site. Interested in roadgeeking, rail transport and other forms of public people moving. Am starting a project where I create fantasy maps of certain regions; just finished Niagara Region and now am looking towards Toronto.
