I think that was an artifact of everyone trying to cram onto the open air +15 thing out of the dome and the piss ramp over Macleod. But there was always the option to leave the dome at surface level, and cross Macleod at the light. Now those are the only options. There's also a crossing guard...

I guess what I meant to say is, it's still not finished yet. But I can't see much progress since September. In fact there's less equipment on site.

Did the revitalization even need to happen right away?

DP2026-00451, a mixed-use building on Centre St N. 15 m high, and 10 units. Interesting rendering, because the streetscape surrounding 2811 Centre St N doesn't look anything like this.

It's not clear to me right now whether this will connect to anything east of 116 St, or will be a T intersection for now. I agree. Until this corridor is fully built out with buildings, which may well take a long time, there are going to be a lot more cyclists than pedestrians.

Your comment had me thinking that a lot of the downtown convenience stores have closed. 1 St SW is now a BBQ place, 4 Ave SW is now Kings by LaCaille, 5 St will be replaced by the Fairmont, and at least three 7-11s have closed (17 Ave and 5 St SW a long time ago, but more recently, 8 St SW, and...

Interesting. City Centre seems to include an area roughly bounded by 37 St W, McKnight, Deerfoot, and either Heritage or Glenmore in the south.

The parking lot DP contains plans that still say "The Edgewater". Maybe this is standard and I never noticed before, but I think it's funny that this parking lot (which is 0 storeys, 0 metres!) will have a name:

Nice. I found Red's on 4th to be overpriced, but at least they will seat and serve people in a reasonable amount of time, unlike the old 1886 Cafe that used to be in this building.

I know someone whose job was affected by cuts to programming after this happened. BVC are not expanding any time soon, in fact the opposite.
