Nice. The only misstep or missed ops, is this vivid red brick, red aluminum tower isn’t 40 storey’s taller to join the only other red tall for all to see-in the overwhelming sea of grey-blue.

But can Toronto have some pizzazz in their cultural & performing arts buildings.. Front St could be a great int’l visitor street if they had some standout architectural design, smart modern street aesthetics. Meridian Hall is bland also, way too forgettable. The last few years the waterfront has...

I hope so cuz that structure’s concrete exterior looks shabby & worn.

And I completely disagree with you. ✌️

Thanks. But no thread needed. I was just making a general visual observation of the CN Tower pic & all those unsightly rail lines downtown.

Viaduct? It’s mostly all rail lines. Original pic. And I’m speaking of mostly downtown area. It is an eyesore.

What are you talking about? You can still deck over operational rail corridors & reclaim the space above for public use. Or didn’t you know that? I guess not. A number of cities have done that. Rail Deck Park was to be that.

How can anyone judge what this building will look like? Entirely vague, like a ghost. 👻

Truly an unfinished, unambitious NA big city. Elevated development, public space, A Park even, should have covered those rail lines years ago.

This looks good. Hoping some restoration & polishing/upgrade of heritage exterior can happen. But, this isn’t Chicago. Toronto rarely does that. Lack of taste. Lack of donations. Budget.

Ugh is right.. Another dull grey rectangular, flat rooftop structure. It wasn’t flat in previous design, it had some flair. Roof looks flat here. So unimpressed by Pinnacle/H Pontarini near prime waterfront area.

Don’t mind the diamond pattern but the colour of the building in this rendering is strange- Indistinguishable; Which is never a good sign.

I’m all in with this, only if it stays electric blue.

Nice to have some stylish, modernized architecture w colour in the middle of nowhere. While downtown core still stuck in colourlessness & uniformity gear.. . Improving but still bland & never bold.

Never trust a night rendering pic. (they even know). Amexon + Core.

But of course it will get built. Two Gehry Towers!!. Original master design went from 3 to 2 buildings. It’s not going from 2 to 1 building. The market & city will be in much better shape by 2028. Right!?
