I know there's a planned project just across the street from this project but after that I wonder which plaza on Marlee will be next. I personally think the one with the Domino's would be best but there are two other viable options IMO (one being just north of this site and the other being...

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I think the goal is mid-December because it's better optics for Metrolinx and the Ontario government to say it opened in 2024, even if it's just barely. Between mid-December and January 2025 I'd prefer January because of that lol.

Can't believe we're losing more warehouses and surface parking lots...what is happening to the city I love?

Don't worry in 20 years a new mayor will talk about converting the line to a proper subway and it'll be closed for 10 years.

I really wonder what's going to occupy/be built on the southeast corner. Feels like yesterday it was a Hakim Optical lol.

    Toronto Toronto | 280 Viewmount | 113m | 33s | Altree | Graziani + Corazza

80 studio units (23%) seems like a huge mistake for this area. This isn't a place that's going to attract young professionals willing to live in a studio.

Seems like the development of YorkU is never ending...love to see it!

These lots should be a part of another development though right? Or is there some other possible reason for all the drilling and testing? Apologies if it's a silly question.

According to Google Maps this is an 8 minute walk from Exhibition GO and therefore will be an 8 minute walk from OL Line 3. In a city with scant new downtown rentals, it would be a travesty if this isn't built.

Given their track record early December means December 15th at the earliest.

The exaggeration on this rendering is frankly ridiculous. It's an 11 storey proposal but it looks more than double the building behind it (34 Walmer Rd) which is a 10 storey building. I can understand some exaggeration but this is absurd.

What an awful take from someone with political aspirations

I just can't wait until 2050 when some mayoral candidate campaigns on converting the Eglinton Crosstown to a true subway.

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

A bit of a tangent but there is significant densification around Marlee, Lawrence/Dufferin, Yorkdale that should improve usage on that stretch of Line 1

But that surface parking lot is the heart of the community!
