Post your pictures of Toronto here!

Oooh, that's a great one. Good eye.

Some GTA Aerials by Tim MacDonald (Covid19 induced Boredom)

I really like the straight top-down pictures.

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

Oh that makes sense. Personally as non Torontonian I wouldn't mind if the city separated and Doug Ford is no longer my premier.

    Toronto Without Wires

I forgot that Church has streetcar tracks.

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

Power to make Toronto its own province lies with the feds, not the province.

    miWay Transit

For TTC to present hybrid numbers capped at 30000km and diesel at 20000km is very weird. I don't know why a publicly funded agency would try to deceive people like that. Pressure from certain city council members? If Tesla did something like that, they would probably get sued... Overhead wires...

Conservatory Group to be broken up!

The end of Conservative Group such a major loss for Toronto. Even 4 years later I still wonder if the huge void left in the absence can ever be filled.

Personally, I think there is nothing wrong with considering pros and cons of different types of electric buses, but of course such a thing got me a derisive response from the fine UrbanToronto community.

Oh, I just got a photobook, Spill, by Daniel Beltra. It's about Deepwater Horizon. If you want to see just how damaging oil production is, just check out those pictures. I also have taken pictures of Sarnia's oil refineries myself. In the case of battery, it is not just about production but also...

    miWay Transit

Some of the 109 buses are used in non peak direction for 70 and 108, and possibly the 43 too. So the frequencies cannot be constant.

Honestly, looking at my post again, I don't see anything I said that could have implied that I am against regular buses. I explicitly said that we should not send a message that regular buses are bad. I can't post about electric buses without getting subject to mockery here. But that's...

    VIVA + York Region Transit

Yeah, sure, Jane's ridership is mostly because of good service, not so much the fact that it serves Vaughan Mills, VMC, and York U.

I said taking a regular bus is good enough, which is why I don't support battery powered electric buses. Learn to read next time. Same to @Undead, @anb, @DirectionNorth and @T3G too. UrbanToronto just becoming more and more a toxic place.

    Square One Shopping Centre

I didn't do it either. I haven't been to Square One in years since there is no more record store there, lol. I always go to Erin Mills now since they have Sunrise.

Future bus garage beside the busiest east-west transit corridor in Mississauga, so I was just considering the possibilities. It is interesting to hear your explanation because we don't have trolley buses here so sometimes I wonder about them. They are currently studying LRT along Derry, so maybe...

That is 42 Derry only. Doesn't include 18 Derry. From the document I posted on the previous page: Weekday boardings, October board period, 2024 2 Hurontario: 9392 17 Hurontario: 3598 103 Hurontario Express: 4532 18 Derry: 5071 42 Derry: 11766 1 Dundas: 9649 101 Dundas Express: 5780 Total...

    miWay Transit

Are you seriously suggesting that Derry does not have close to 20,000 riders? Derry is the second busiest corridor in Mississauga. It surpassed Dundas in 2023. It has more than twice the ridership of Burnhamthorpe. Why do you think they are doing a study for LRT along Derry Road? The busiest...

President Donald Trump's United States of America

It's also the reason they banned pro-Palestinian protests and supported Israel's genocide against Palestinians so unconditionally.
