    Edmonton | Valley Line LRT/ Valley Line West | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

What makes you think they haven’t their plan is a very long term plan. The first area of development was being used for LRT staging. I think core samples were being taken in that area within the last year.

    Municipal Politics

No I mean pollsters who use leading questions, dont publish their error rates and use tactics such as push polls. If a poll wont gove you the cross tabs, its garbage. Reporting was done on this poll and the questions were found to be leading and poorly worded.

    Edmonton's Population

Local realtors, as per word of mouth and a couple blogs I read, are seeing more Calgarians shopping for homes in Edmonton as they are being priced out of the market.

I want to say speaking municipaly, from one of the city councillors. Its in the p3 contracts.

    Alberta Politics

In a first past the post/electoral college system horse race polls are near useless. Vote efficiency needs to be taken into consideration and all ridings need to be looked at individually.

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

To be fair Post pandemic world is structured differently than the world today with more at home options for work and school. People are not “doing” as much as we focus on other rising costs. And We also went through a major network upheaval with the introduction of the new lrt line and new...

    East Junction | 86m | 25s | Regency Developments | DER + Associates

How you feel something looks is subjective By the very fact that a number of people I have shown the building to have had positive reactions would prove it actually isnt “terrible.”

    Edmonton | Manulife Place Renovations | 145.99m | 36s | AIMCo | MdeAS

I would be AMAZED if the gov’t approves this. There is a lot of history of deep sixing mergers in Canada’s already concentrated banking system.

Many people on here are way to negative. I have had a number of people comment on how much they like this building.

Translink is contracted to operate the west.

    Capital Line LRT

Design build is a form of p3 contract. A P3 may but does not necessarily include things such as operation or maintenance. https://www.pppcouncil.ca/why-p3s/types-of-p3s
  14. Y

    Capital Line LRT

Because its built under a p3 model. Certain economic minds will say that limits risk to the city, but it also means that you are just monetizing the risk up front.
  15. Y

    Capital Line LRT

its a p3. The price is the price, the city doesn't manage the project.

    Low Level Bridge

The high level is fine. It just needs its 25 year overhaul
  17. Y

    Municipal Politics

Its also the pollsters, the format of the poll as well as a very active online campign about some unfounded corruption elevated by UCP and Right wing media. These same right wing actors are also trying to push 15 min city along with other things.
  18. Y

    Municipal Politics

ok but the city does the majority of its trees and shrub replanting in the cool fall where they have a better survival rate. Removal of dead trees happens in spring/summer and replacement trees often happen the following year after they have been removed. There are some gardening...

    Edmonton | Blatchford Development | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

This is indeed where the number was pulled from.. via my adhd memory filter which can jumble things up on occasion.
