The Toronto Real Estate Board has reported that the total number of residential sales for 2007 was 93,193, by far the best year on record. The previous best year had been 2005, at 84,145 sales.
The average sale price during 2007 was $376,236, an increase of 6.90% over 2006. The median sale price, a better statistical indicator, was $318,200, an increase of 6.42% over 2006.
