A relatively new Cambridge proposal for downtown Galt.

The site is currently home to a dilapidated bowling alley and is situated right next to the Ainslie St bus terminal and future end of the Cambridge LRT line.

Site in question

The developer wants to build two towers, one 15s and one 20s.

Hard to get a great idea from the renders but I think it looks decent. I really hope this gets approved as is, there's basically nothing here and it's next to the future LRT and bus terminus theres absolutely no reason for there not to be this height here, however I do suspect it will face significant opposition.

From the SE corner of the site, looking NW. Rafters from the old bowling alley building are still on-site, demolition happened in September/ October 2023:

Looking NE across Ainslie St S at the site from the NW corner of the Ainslie St/ Bruce St intersection. Ainslie St Terminal can be seen to the left of the site:

Also, some stairs I never knew existed. Located at the back of the site, towards Wellington. They don't go anywhere and will definitely get taken out, but I still thought it was neat. The masonry looks pretty old too:
