This is definitely a building worth saving as is. Not only is it an interesting warehouse in what is supposed to be an historic factory district (...) but the building itself has a cool bit of history attached to the east wall (if I remember correctly). It's one of the only remaining parts of the Central Prison besides the chapel in Liberty Village park. The wall is obvious from this perspective on Google streetview.

The interior is a striking heritage industrial space, with historic exposed metal framing and a large pitched roof rising above a clerestory. It's as important as the exterior. This development proposal is a bizarre mishmash of old and new that doesn't dignify the old building at all.

With any luck, Can Alfa would sell the site and maybe we could get a redesign but that would just be wishful thinking....?
I'm not even opposed to greater density on the site if the design and public realm giveback is worth it.
