Did you make it into the building when it had the nifty 70s carpeted elevators? ("Nifty" is to go with "70s"). If not, they were a blast - thick berber carpet (beige of course) on the walls of the elevators - taken out around 2000 I think and replaced with the current ones.
There is an excellent model of the re-clad complex on the ground floor near the Timothy's, incidentally in the same spot where they had the demo of the renovated elevators more than a decade ago.
The concourse is quite nice now. They did a much better job than the concourse reno of the Sun Life tower which looks afwul, IMO.
That Longo's really needs more cashiers at lunch time.
