is it just me or does the Clear Spirit not at all compliment the other surrounding buildings in the distillary? Sure it's gonna look modern and nice for the first few 10 years or so. but what about after that? It's gonna look like the same eye sore apartment building that the Old Mill has to deal with.

People said the same thing about Pure Spirit, and now that it's there it hardly feels as if it overwhelms or clashes with the district. Granted the next two are a little more central, but the lightness and airiness will help minimize the impact. The stark contrast of the modern glass creates more drama too. Those brick midrises on the other side of Mill Street are more obnoxious in my opinion.

Pure Spirit has only been up for a few years. Wait till it's modern feel is gone and it's just another glass apartment. The distillary is supposed to be our only authentic "old Toronto" area like MTL or Que City and we're allowing these short term appealing glass towers to kill the vibe of the era.
