Here is another 2024 Ottawa project that is coming out just as nice as the renders!

I live close to this one and agree — the materials are nice, the construction is moving quickly and the scale feels right for the neighbourhood. Other than the very stalled “Next” concept that Ashcroft has proposed for Merivale Road across from the Farm, this was built on the last bit of unused land in Central Park.

I do have to laugh at the swooshy brake lights in the render, though. Central Park is very much a 40 zone

How old is that 'Next' development? 20 years now? Bad nomenclature

If you street view the little sales building at the southern entrance of Central Park, you can watch a whole lot of nothing happen from about 2012 onward. There’s the site plan control application sign, then several years of Next promotions, then it quietly flips over to advertising the Astoria buildings in 2023.
