I bought into a condo from plans some time ago. I always hated the bathroom design and with no upgrades, thought I would simply live with it. However, now I'm of the mind that you only live once and getting the whole place gutted before I move in. Since it is a new condo and the condo board is yet to be developed (I'm assuming), who do I run this by?

Has anyone else done this and run into problems? I really want to get rid of that horrendous bathtub.

Actually, there is a board of directors for the condominium - even though it has not been turned over to the owners. You's best call the management company to find out more about doing such renovations.

I would add sound insulation in the studs surrounding the bathroom. Not for heat or cold, but for noise. Especially from the water in the shower or toilet or just the pipes moving along, as well as the exhaust fan.
