Signs went up for this today. Starting September 11th till the end of the month every night till morning.

But the road is brand new and in perfect condition. Anyone have any info on what's getting done?

Also, where can I find this out easily in the future?

IT MAY BE :

"Rehabilitation of an existing sewer pipe to extend its life and improve system performance. Work may include the cleaning of the interior of an existing sewer, installation of a liner inside an existing pipe, sealing cracks and/or joints, repairs to catch basins or maintenance holes, and necessary upgrades of City-owned portion of sewer connections."
This is a section of Bayview immediately south of Dundas where pollution has been leaking into the Don River since last year (or, the City became aware of it since last year). The road closures website often misses out on closures completely and seldom gives many details. If it's this it may not involve excavation as a lot of sewer work can be done from below ground, but the area needs to be closed so the guys (and gals?) can work.

Huh, this is for work between Rosedale Valley Road and DVP on ramps. Not south of Dundas. So I don't know if that's it.

BTW, it would be absolutely priceless if it means ripping up the brand new road they just paved. My God if they do that I'll know this City is well and truly idiotic.

Hm, maybe it has something to do with Viaduct repair work (or that illumination of the girders proposal?). Or perhaps improving drainage and storm sewer work.
