Hmmmm... didn't know about that, @Daveography. Back in the day -- pre-onslaught-of-craft-beers when the choice was narrow (like Molson's or Labatt's), my beer of choice was "50". Today I try "Golden Road Pale Ale" (we designed their brewery and attached restaurant), Modelo Especial Lager, or Firestone (not the tires, although the taste brings up hints of burnt rubber). I was never a fan of Molson's (to drink that is), although they did provide lots of give-aways for a pub (The Roman Pub) that I owned on the South Side of Edmonton (63rd Avenue and 106th Street -- not so far from Southgate). Ahhh... those were the days! Anyway, I kind of always liked the garish "Molson" sign. It was a kind of place marker for the entire area west of downtown.
