So back in the day I remember every summer that we would have Klondike days and in particular everybody would have fun and get dressed up for that particular reason. There would be the Sunday Promenade and there was a lot of just fun events related to the Klondike Days theme.
I think that the Klondike days theme should come back and edmontonians could have a bit of fun like this as before. I propose that maybe a Grassroots movement to pick a time maybe during the summer carnival and start running Klondike days events. It doesn't have to be officially connected to the carnival but I think it would be a lot of fun to have things like the Sunday Promenade, Klondike Kate, King of the Klondike and other related events. One of the things that was a lot of fun was seeing everyone dressed in the Klondike Style costumes.
