I continue my Australia series with photos from Brisbane. I was in Australia for about 2 months earlier this year, and thoroughly enjoyed travelling around the country's eastern side. The weather was great, even though it was supposedly autumn. It felt much warmer and brighter!

1. My flight into Brisbane gave some nice surprises, such as this aerial of the city.

2. Getting into town was quite easy with a direct airport railway, and it didn't take long to reach the main terminal.

3. I was in town during ANZAC weekend, and had a lot of ground to cover in little time. Luckily, the skies cooperated.

4. I caught the tail end of the ANZAC parade. A lot of people were giving their respects at the memorial.

16. All Saints' Anglican Church was around the corner from the railway station, a little bit above the rest of the core.

23. Although parts of St. John's Cathedral is under wraps, its prominence and surroundings indicate it is a key landmark.

35. I didn't walk all the way to Chinatown, and decided to turn back and head back into the city centre.

In the next part, I'll show more skyscrapers, along with views of the river.

40. In this part, I walked along the river, hoping to catch a glimpse of Storey Bridge.

41. I wasn't so interested in taking the ferries though. It was expensive to begin with, and I was planning to cross to the other side anyway for the view.

45. It appears the view of Brisbane's skyscrapers would be quite good from the other side.

48. Not many cities allow rock-climbing right in the heart of the city, with a skyscraper backdrop!

53. Like the Sydney Harbour Bridge, I could climb the Storey Bridge at an enormous cost.

60. Brisbane doesn't have that many skyscrapers, but the height does get to dizzying levels every now and then, which radiates a special type of grandeur.

Looks like the perfect mixture of European and North American cities. Thanks for sharing!
