A couple of development permits have been submitted for Anthem's multi-family site in Currie Barracks. I think this is the second iteration of design for this project (coudn't find a thread for the first one). This is the site that has had a sales trailer on it for quite some time. Nice to see action on another significant project (that isn't lower density) in Currie Barracks. It is one project consisting of 2 buildings, not sure why they chose 2 separate development permits as opposed to just one, but c'est la vie.

First a map to orient the project:

I was worried this was going into one of the highrise blocks shown in the renders, but it seems they're pretty faithfully sticking to the plan so far.

Looks pretty good, and I have faith that it will turn out well because it’s Anthem. Material will definitely be key. The horizontal siding in the balconies is the material that gives me most concern, even though it represents so little of the exterior.

Currie, vibrant... I guess but only around Wildrose and Veranda. There is the Burwood Stampede tent going in, see how that's received. They gave out free tickets to the neighborhoods around the tent.
