Maybe I'm alone and fair enough if I am but all the pavement at Stampede Park bugs me, It has a great location that's right on the river but is such poorly used.

Enmax Park is actually a pretty decent little park, but I doubt most people know it even exists considered how hidden away it is.

Of course I’ve been there haha, I post photos from all over the city all of the time. And yes, as I said, it is part of Stampede Park.

You’re obviously not alone in thinking that Stampede Park is gross. Just not much to be done about it other than what we’re already doing. They need the open space for the event to happen in, therefore parking. At least the north end will finally be developed.

Until midways and fair rides don't need surface area, or technology advances a cheaper mass surface treatment of an exhibition park, it will probably remain poorly used.

For comparison - this is where Oktoberfest takes place.

I think it would be possible to improve the perimeter of Stampede park, but the interior is likely destined to be a paved expanse.

I guess that's what I mean, I get that at its guts it is a fair grounds. But I'd like for its interfaces to be improved.
