It looks decent so far. Even from the renderings, it was already much better then the Hat EV. This one will blend in with the nearby towers. It won't be an architectural gem, but it won't offend anyone.

More so than the low rise commie block going up across the street? I'm all for hating on Cidex based on their history of birthing garbage, but this isn't bad relative to most other buildings in this part of town.

15 years ago new towers had varying looks. Chocolate and Colours looked much different than Stella or Nova, which also looked different than Montana, Xenex, Castello or Five West, Live on the Park etc.They weren't all masterpieces, but they looked different. Lately they simply blend together. It's not the worst thing, but I fear materials aren't going to change anytime soon.

That's the thing, even if they aren't starchitecture pieces, the variety is nice. Maybe some brick gets used again. Nothing fancy, but something simple like this tower u/c in Toronto. tbh kind of boring, but at least it's different.

Or this one also from Toronto, It's using average materials (window wall panels, and composite panels), but in a cool way.

Always disliked Cidex and their copy/paste spandrel work but I don't mind how this is looking so far. Generic but passable.

considering our luck with the “visible from everywhere” towers in this city these are ok
