Yes. It was condo and probably why construction stalled out. Occupancy of the second tower was delayed for a year because the sewer capacity (I think) was insufficient so this project has had a number of hurdles before the condo market collapsed. Who knows, it could still be a condo.

I thought this was always low income housing?

Cause damn, if so I didn't know this was a condo at any point. I would love to meet the people who ran the proforma on this, and the marketing department that thought they could sell this. Looks like every 1970s Edmonton Apartment in earth tones. Straight up can't imagine anyone deciding they could sell that shit and make money.

Two of the three towers are affordable housing. The south tower is owned by the city and is affordable rental, the west tower is privately operated, but affordable rental. The third one (now under construction) was originally to be privately run market units, but will now be market rental.

Yikes. o_O

this is coming along so figured id pull over and take a couple pics, macleod trail and 53rd ave. also it appears there is a foundation built for a 7th tower on 52nd ave. this has to the stealthiest density i can think of. if it had an lrt station it would prob be the biggest tod in the city.
