Ooh, that looks pretty cool. Love the soft curves of the tower. It looks like something you'd see in London.

*DEAD* that is beyond my wildest hopes for this project. F*CK YES!
Unfortunately some deep utility work needs to happen under the Mall. More greenery will come in the expanded gap between the new block and MacEwan Hall.Wow, Swan Mall is going to look nothing like it does now when all is said and done. I'm not sure I'm on board with that aspect of the project. Yet more campus greenery under the paving stone of modernism. The new tower and block look nice though.
I heard an interesting fact about the course of the pathways on this part of campus. When the blocks were built, they waited a year to put in the concrete foot paths because they wanted to see the routes the students themselves were using. That's why you don't see many trampled dirt shortcuts on this part of campus. Unlike some of the more newly paved areas like the field between engineering, ICT, Earth Science and Mac Hall.

Demolishing and replacing the block.I've heard that as well. Cool little bit of UCalg history
Edit: Oh, are they adding a significant new structure to the block portion? It doesn't stick out like that currently.
