Great perspective. I didn't realize how close this was to the National Music Centre. It'll be awesome to have two architectural icons within such a short distance.

Some of those lots east of 4th street would be a pretty great place to add an Arts Museum as well.

The old science centre/planetarium is being converted into the Art Gallery of Calgary (also known as Contemporary Calgary). The first phase is underway I believe.

That will be neat. I've always liked that building, I'm glad it was preserved. It definitely requires some serious renovation though.

I just saw something about this in the media recently. I can't find the article but it says they are still working with the city on a few things but are very close.

Excellent news. I forgot all about the old Science Centre. Maybe if they outgrow the old science centre they can build a new one in East Village.

The proposed art gallery or Telus Spark? I've only been to Spark once and I was really underwhelmed.
