The new design has a similar street interaction. My guess is there are limited options with the street having a fair bit of slope.
 
So the above DP is actually not for Mondrian, but for the Plaza project in the post above. It is directly south of Mondrian, between 83rd and 81st Street on Broadcast Ave. The DP drawings are now posted in the link.

From the DP drawings, it is Lola Architecture, two 9 storey buildings, residential over retail, with heights (including top of mechanical penthouse) of 31.45m.

9 floors is some decent density 👍 So nice to see greenfield development like this. Especially when projects of this size proposed for inner city communities constantly receive blowback.
