Great TOD potential with no train as of yet. Here's hoping Danielle Smith doesn't arbitrarily kill the greenline in June. Saw a government of Alberta ad touting the lrt extension to the airport and am suspicious that they are trying to prioritize that pet project over this.
How and why would Alberta do so? They’ve already spent a billion dollars getting everything ready, trains are selected and track will start being laid later this year. Can’t really kill things at this point without costing a fortune in broken contracts.

Well Smith recently turned down $200 million for housing for Calgary from the Federal gov’t. She’s also declared that funding was contingent on the line meeting her announced provincial rail plan and they’ve already suggested scrapping any underground stations.

I am hopeful though that the amount of work that's been done will at least ensure the south leg is built.

The NDP Ontario government broke ground on a subway line in Toronto which the following PC Ontario government promptly killed. They apparently even backfilled the tunnels. This was 30 years ago. Populism and party line politics has only gotten worse.

It doesn't make any sense making it an extremely unlikely case. Never think it can't happen because too much money has already been sunk into it.

The first DP of this project has been submitted:

i’m confused where these are going since the map on the first page shows a different looking plan. Is this beside Les Jardins?

Yes, sorry, haven't had time to update the map on the first page yet to show where this goes, but I think it is the dark brown M-2 parcels along the southern portion, adjacent to Les Jardins.

I'm not super up to speed on what the general market is doing for buildings like this but doesn't seem like a lot of visitor parking for a suburban development to me
