Hi, eriors of the
I have to Admit, It would B Nice to Have a look at the Interiors of this Complex. It must B Fantastic on the Over All. of the
Project.
Tnx, Operater.

I have to say that you guys are super fortunate to have such exceptional and iconic buildings in your downtown core. Calgary's skyline could become one of Canada's most iconic images. (Definitely more so than Vancouver or *cough* my hometown, Toronto.)

You are right. Cities this size rarely get even one such remarkably beautiful major structure like The Bow, Telus Sky, 707 Fifth, let alone many of them, plus the smaller scale ones like the National Music Centre and the Central Library. We are extraordinarily lucky.

The beautiful thing is that there is a fairly decent chance that all five of those projects could end up being underway concurrently, at least for a period over the next 4 years. Wishful thinking, I know, but I can def see Arts Commons Phase 1 and Contemporary Calgary final phase going ahead within the next several years, and the arena and convention centre are going ahead for sure, so there's that :)

The sad thing is this is likely the last major signature tower for quite some time, and a lot of what I see being proposed is purpose built rental buildings and they are on the cheaper end typically.

Calgary is pretty blessed with signature architectural pieces for a city of it's size, so while it's a shame, it's natural for it to ebb and flow a bit.

Any bets on what will become the next big signature tower?

My bet would be ~6 years down the line, a Shangri-La level hotel/JW Marriott with premium condos making up the top 35 floors, and the hotel tenant the first ~25 (maybe a ballin casino or some other odd entertainment option on the ground floor)
