In about a week this sidewalk has made it on the list of being one of the most woefully over-loaded and under-designed pieces of transportation infrastructure this city has on it's books (and it was already bad before Urban Fare opened).

On the weekend there was single-file traffic with bunches of pedestrians waiting as if it's a highway under-construction down to one lane and alternating directions

8th street needs some love. There is an overall improvement plan for 8th street, but don't know the timeline for it.

Thanks for providing the link! I would hope this plan get's relooked at again - it's showing it's pre-Complete Streets, pre-acknowledgement of the Beltline's urban scale/intensity. Comparing this plan to some of the recent Main Street program outputs (e.g. Marda loop, 1st Street SE) really makes this looks.dated.

Sales centre gone, time for the park to go in. I hope they get it built in time for summer.

Owners started receiving letters for closing and may be some have already moved in. The closing package has every information you need. Well done Bosa!

It's so nice having that construction fencing gone, and the feeling of it returning to normal. Looking forward to seeing the park.

The park does not have a working design yet, consultants will be onboard over the summer. Construction/build likely next summer

Went to the Urbanfare yesterday and did not realize that it was that big! Holy smokes and the wine bar on the side. The whole area has a different feel and just wow.

This part of Calgary is really starting to grow up. This node of the Beltline is fantastic.

They did this place up to the nines....

Oh and they also have a robot tower that gives you your package if you order online. Felt very futuristic when I used it.
