I drove by late last night and saw that the hoarding is coming down from 9th Avenue, so you can see what the street interface for the podium will be like. It was late, I was tired, and it was dark, and there were construction cones up, so not an opportunity to take a photo or even register a really good idea to give a description. I do kind of remember seeing lots of glass though. Perhaps one of our resident photographers (@1875) could snap a photo?

I drove by and saw the same thing last night, and I remember thinking “hmmm, not bad”... and for me, in regard to this project, that is resounding praise.

also drove past it last night, as most of the hording is now removed off 9th. Are they looking for a Grocery option? One of the units has 4 or 5 large garage style doors facing 9th.

Alright, rather than calling someone else out to go take photos, after I posted, I took my son for a bike ride through the neighbourhood. FYI (and stating the obvious), 9th Avenue is horrible/terrifying to take a toddler on a strider bike next to with the sidewalk on the south side..... And yes @danby85, I have heard there is a grocer option going in.

Kinda disappointing still, but not as bad as I expected. Hope they plant some trees out front and actually take care of them so they live lol.

What an inhospitable public realm for human beings. Can't wait for basically no weather protection for pedestrians, narrow sidewalks and no planting/softscaping to speak of to soften this post-modernist hellscape.
